Mrs. Lois Ann Elliott Barker, age 73, of Warrensville, passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Atrium Health in Pineville.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Warrensville Baptist Church with Rev. Jackie Stone and Rev. Joey McClure officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 12:00–1:00 p.m., at the church.
Mrs. Barker was born in Ashe County on August 31, 1952, to the late Junior Carl and Clyde Stike Elliott. She retired from Westwood School, where she worked as a teacher's assistant and loved working with children. She was a caring and kind-hearted person who touched many lives through her gentle spirit and her willingness to help others. She was a faithful and devoted member of Warrensville Baptist Church.
Mrs. Barker is survived by her husband, Calvin "Dexter" Barker; two daughters, Debra Woods of Warrensville and Diana Lynn Miller of Wilkesboro; a brother, Rick Elliott (Sandy) of Florida; and a grandson, Nick Woods of Warrensville. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Memorials may be made to Warrensville Baptist Church, P.O. Box 286, Warrensville, NC 28693. All donations will be directed to Ebenezer's Children Home.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
