On October 10, 2025 Randy went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
"Randy" was born in Beech Grove, Indian to Robert and Patricia Myers on November 9, 1947.
He grew up in Carmel, Indiana and graduated from Carmel High School in 1966. He then attended Vincennes University in Indiana where he received his pilots license and from there went to Hamilton Alabama where he obtained his aircraft mechanic's rating. Randy worked for Cessna Aviation as a Service Representative in Charlotte, North Carolina where he met the love of his life, Joanne. After retirement, they moved to Jefferson, NC to be close to their long-time friends Eddie and Mary Lou.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents of Abingdon, VA., a longtime friend Rusty Banks from Alabama, and his brother-in-law, Rocky Blevins, who was his partner in crime for pranks and practical jokes.
Randy is survived by his wife Joanne of 46 blessed years, two sisters, Brook Blevins and Chris Anderson of Abingdon, VA, a son David McGraw (Dawn) of Ocean Isle Beach, NC, a grandson Brandon McGraw, two sisters-in-law, Debbie Koone and Betty Brown, and several adoring nieces and nephews. Randy is also survived by his fur buddy, Snickers.
Randy was still making friends at Generations Memory Care in West Jefferson, NC where he was much loved by all who knew him. Special thanks to the staff at Generations for the love and care that they gave Randy during his stay.
In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Generations Memory Care as a tribute to Randy. Generations Assisted Living and Memory Care, 180 Chatty Rob Lane, West Jefferson, NC 28694.
At Randy's request, no formal funeral will be conducted. A celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
