Joseph Bridges Obituary

Joe was a son of Mary Ann (Fry) and Robert M. Bridges both of Rushville. They both survive him and will miss him every day.
Joe was born Oct. 5, 1977. He and his big sister, Maria, and little brother Brendan grew up and were raised on Jackson Street. They were all members of Saint Mary Catholic Church. He graduated from RCHS in 1996 and then attended Vincennes University. He also was member of the Knights of Columbus 769.
He was a commercial refrigeration tech over 20 years. He was a member of and worked for the Chicago Pipefitters Local 597. Prior to the union he had worked for Deem, Midwest Refrigeration, Zone Refrigeration
If you knew Joe, you knew that being a Father to Alaina was his primary Joy!
He could always be found outdoors. Any chance to get out and camp or spend time hiking was a great relaxing time. He was a passionate Fighting Irish football and IU basketball fan.
Joseph is survived by his daughter, Alaina Bridges, and his former wife Carrie Listman both of Valparaiso, IN He was loved by his sister, Maria Bridges, of Rushville and brother, Brendan (Alyson) Bridges, of Greensburg. Two nephews, Jaxon Bridges and Eli Bridges will also miss their uncle. Joe had many friends with fond memories.
A rosary will be held 9 AM Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Rushville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM with Rev. Dustin Boehm, Visitation will be 9:30 AM until the time of the service at church. Joe will be buried at Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Decatur County Community Foundation (Greensburg Schools Sensory Garden Fund) 101 E. Main St. Suite 1 Greensburg, IN 47240. envelopes will be available at the church service.
