Lois Helen Fluty

Lois Helen Lambert Fluty, lovingly known as "Granny Lo," peacefully entered eternal rest with God on November 12, 2024, at the age of 98. Born on May 30, 1926, she was the cherished only daughter of the late Rev. Edmund W. Lambert and Eliza Hardin Lambert.
Lois was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Henry Fluty, and her four brothers: Bill (Virginia Beach, VA), Karl (Chesapeake, VA), Clyde (Norfolk, VA), and Ed (Williamstown, KY). She is survived by her brother, C.H. Lambert (Betty) of Virginia Beach, VA, along with numerous family members, nieces, and nephews who treasured her as a guiding presence and constant source of love and support.
In 1948, Lois moved to Virginia, where she began a lifelong career with Landmark Communications, dedicating over 40 years to her work. She was blessed with the attentive care and companionship of her brother C.H., his wife Betty, her daughter-like niece Henrietta and husband Bill Elliott, and her niece Lucy Blanchard. A devoted woman of faith, Lois was a longtime member of Fidelis Trinity Baptist Church in Norfolk, VA, and Emily Northrop Baptist Church in Lawrence County, KY.
Lois's gentle spirit, steadfast faith, and warm heart touched the lives of all who knew her, and she will be dearly missed.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, November 18, 2024 at 11:00 AM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Preece Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Monday, November 18, 2024 from 10:00 AM until time of service in the Young Funeral Home Chapel.
Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mrs. Fluty and her family.
