Lois Ford

1937 - 2026

Lois Carol Ford, 88, formerly of Sheridan, Wyo., and Stafford, Va., passed away on March 13, 2026, surrounded her loving family. She was received into heaven by her Savior, Jesus Christ. Lois was preceded by her husband, Robert Ford; brother, Donald Schneider; her parents, Donald, and Beatrice Schneider. Lois is survived by her loving children, Laurie Park and Bobby Ford. She took pleasure in being with her grandchildren, Ashleigh, Emily, Benjamin, Michael, and Lindsay. Lois absolutely adored her eight great-grandchildren and loved to share treasures and stories from her travels and her love of books with them.

Lois was a much-loved elementary school teacher for 20 years in Stafford, Va., and enjoyed visiting with her former students. She took great pleasure in her many puppies; we know they are taking turns napping in her lap in heaven. She delighted everyone with her many family stories of the Wild West. While Lois left Wyoming her heart and soul remained.

In the last months of her life, Lois was provided loving care by the staff at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield NC.
