Lois Ann Gach, 84 of Marion Center, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Saturday May 17, 2025 at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, West Virginia.
She was born August 29, 1940 to George E. and Helen J. (Hoover) Mauk in Smicksburg, PA.
Lois was a member of New Life Lutheran Church, Marion Center. She worked alongside her parents at the Mahoning Medical Center for many years. She also worked at the Hallmark store on Philadelphia Street in Indiana, but her favorite job was being a Homemaker and raising her two children. She enjoyed doing puzzles and playing cards with her Grandson and telling stories of the past and shopping at TJ Maxx with her Granddaughter. She looked forward to going to the Mahoning Hills Senior Center with friends and playing dime bingo there. She enjoyed reading, gardening, attending garage sales, antiques, and her new found hobby of birdwatching. Most evenings you could find her sitting on her back porch or talking with her neighbors who became her longtime friends. Most of all she loved her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her two children, a son Jeffrey A. Gach (Roberta), Philippi, WV, a daughter, Lori R. Miller (Nathan), Home, two grandchildren, Maleia Miller (Austin Ewing), Punxsutawney, Landen Miller, Home. A sister, Betty P. Good (Roger) Tulsa, OK, a nephew Scott Good (Angie), Whitehouse, TX, a niece Christine Riggin (Michael) Tulsa, OK, and her Aunt, Jean Perryman of Colorado. She was also affectionately known as "Grammie Lois" to Alaina, Courtney, David, Andrea, Ashley, Libby, and Skyler.
She will also be greatly missed by her favorite feline companion, Crawlspace Kitty.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
