Lois Virginia Gibson went to be with her LORD and Savior JESUS Christ on October 4, 2025. She was born in Rosebud, Texas on October 26, 1933. She lived in Lewisville, Texas over 65 years. Virginia is predeceased by her husband Charles Gibson in 2022, her daughter Cindy Pyles , her parents J.B. and Mildred Allen, her siblings Betty, Bill, John and Linda, and long ago best friends Freda Swafford and Sandy Tufford.

Virginia is survived by her three daughters Rebecca Gibson, Patty Brunson (spouse Richard) and Ginger Murphree (spouse Doug). She is survived by grandchildren Ethan, Kristy, Steven, Michael, John, Amanda, Matt and Lindsay. She is survived by 14 great-grandchildren. Virginia is also survived by a sister, Sue Rigsby, in Houston.

Virginia was a Texas farm girl, raised on hard chores, feeding chickens and pigs, helping with siblings, picking cotton and riding horses. She went to college in Denton, Texas at the young age of 16, which was her first time away from home. She graduated four years later on the morning of May 31, 1954 and married Charlie Gibson the afternoon of the SAME day.

Virginia and Charlie raised their four daughters in Lewisville, celebrating over 68 years of marriage before his passing.

Virginia is a believer in the LORD JESUS, having served at Central Baptist, Calvary Baptist and Temple Baptist churches throughout her life. One of her greatest joys and comforts was knowing all four of her daughters had accepted the LORD JESUS as well. She had strong confidence in GOD's unending love and forgiveness.

Virginia worked as a secretary and office manager at Texas Instruments, Tyler Building Systems, and Formosa Development. Her "no nonsense" determination and attention to details made her bosses appreciate her efficient work.

Virginia had a feisty spirit and that spirit served her well through her two bouts with breast cancer. She had multiple health issues but fought back each time.

Gratitude is given to Mom's caregivers at University Rehab in Denton who showed patience and kindness to her.

Special thanks goes to Dee and Dave Busch who loved Mom and Dad and brought so many fun activities and wonderful memories to them.
