Lois Gilstrap Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Clark Funeral Home - Granby on Nov. 21, 2025.
Lois M. Gilstrap was born in Stark City, Missouri on December 2, 1949. She is one of six children born to Joe Calvin and Mary (Wilson) Martin. Lois passed away in ft. Worth, Texas on November 19, 2025, at the age of 75.

Lois grew up in Granby, Missouri, and was baptized at the First Church of God. She was firm in her beliefs, treating everyone she encountered with kindness and respect, and was always willing to help others. She and Gerald Gilstrap were united in marriage on April 15, 1974, in Miami, Oklahoma. They were married for 23 years, until Gerald's passing on September 23, 1997.

Lois was a compassionate and nurturing mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved traveling, working in her flower garden, and spending time with her family and beloved cat, Boo. She was a football fan, spunky, and a joy to spend time with. After her husband, Gerald, passed away, she moved into her childhood home in Granby to be closer to her family.

Lois is survived by her children: Marty Mitchell, Kimberly Castleberry, and John Paul Gilstrap, grandchildren: Cody, Kara, Madison, Mitchell, Makailey, and Myles; great-grandchildren: Brayden, Kasyn, Kinley, Hudsyn, Delaney, and Halston; one brother, Paul Martin of Diamond, Missouri, two sisters; Kay Stipp of Granby, Missouri, and Jeannie Flink of Neosho, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, James Martin and George Martin, and a sister, JoAnn Lamp.

Visitation will be on Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 1:00pm – 2:00 pm at Clark Funeral Home in Granby, Missouri. Her funeral will also be held at Clark Funeral Home in Granby, at 2:00pm on Saturday, November 22, 2025. Lois will be laid to rest at Hazelgreen Cemetery in Boulder City, Missouri.
