Lois Lillian Glocke, age 97, of Manawa, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 29, 2024. She was born on July 8, 1927, in the Town of Little Wolf, Wisconsin, to her parents Walter and Ella (Krueger) Ferg.
Lois graduated from Little Wolf High School in 1944. On September 11, 1948, she married Everett Glocke, and they enjoyed 63 years together until he passed away in 2007. Lois served in a career as a bookkeeper, where her attention to detail and dedication shone brightly. She also worked as a waitress at Cedar Springs Golf Course and at the Manawa Bakery. She was a loving woman who enjoyed serving the people in her community. After retirement, she and Everett also had an Appleton Post Crescent paper route until his passing.
Lois loved to travel. She and Everett remained friends with a group of high school classmates that went on annual camping trips together as well as bus trips to places like St. Louis, New Orleans, the northeast USA. Lois was a lifetime member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church Ladies Aid.
Lois considered her greatest success to be her loving family. She is survived by her caring sons: Royden (Mary) Glocke, Dennis (Robin) Glocke: her beloved daughter, Sheri Glocke; 7 grandchildren: Brad (Kristina) Glocke, Amanda (Nathan) Beck, Ashlee (Jason) Lemke, Josh Pennebecker, Jami Glocke, Jordan Glocke, Jessica Glocke; and 13 great grandchildren.
Besides her parents, Lois was preceded in death by an infant son, Mark Glocke; half-brother, Vilas Topp; half-sister, Almeda Topp; sister, Merle Ferg; brother, Benjamin Ferg; grandson, Matthew Glocke.
Funeral services for Lois Lillian Glocke will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Manawa on Friday, August 2, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Nathan Reichle officiating. Burial will be in Little Wolf Cemetery, Town of Little Wolf. A visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may directed to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Lois's family would like to thank the staff of the Manawa Community Living Center for all of the care and support given to Lois over the course of the last five years.
