Lois Goodrich Obituary

Age 84, of Friendship Village in Upper St. Clair, formerly of Mt. Lebanon, peacefully passed away on Sunday, July 20th, 2025. She was born on May 17, 1941 in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania to the late John and Ethel Bratzler. Lois was the beloved wife and sweetheart to Ray for 61 beautiful years. She is also survived by her two sons, Mark (Becky) Goodrich and Dave Goodrich, her grandchildren, Brent (Abby), Hayleigh and Kyle (Kate) Goodrich, her brother Dave (Mary) Bratzler, and many heartfelt friends and neighbors. Lois received her Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology from Penn State University. After graduation, she went on to do full time research at the Mellon Institute in Oakland, PA. In 1968, she took a break from the workforce to raise her two sons. After 15 years, Lois returned to the workforce as a real estate agent for 24 years ultimately retiring from Coldwell Banker. In her younger years, Lois enjoyed playing tennis with friends. In her later years, she enjoyed playing contract bridge, socializing with friends and traveling with her family throughout the United States and to western Europe, Australia, Rio De Janeiro, New Zealand, Hawaii and Guam. Lois will be remembered for her kind heart, extremely social personality and most of all for her love for her family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at Friendship Village of South Hills, 1290 Boyce Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15241 on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Breakthrough Type 1 Diabetes (Formerly JDRF) at https://www.breakthrought1d.org/.
