Lois Grinwis, age 96, passed away in Muskegon, MI, on Tuesday, October7, 2025. Lois was born on April 29, 1929, in Muskegon to Joseph and Gertrude (Kroes) Danhof. She graduated from Muskegon High School in 1947. She was retired from Muskegon Federal Savings and Loan.

Lois married Robert Grinwis on May 23, 1953, and he preceded her in death on March 11, 2001.

Lois loved to travel, and over the years she took many bus trips all over the U.S. and Canada. More than anything she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren.

Lois will be lovingly remembered by two children: Randal (Julie) Grinwis, and Jack (Anna) Grinwis; five grandchildren: Eric (Julie), Chelsea (Preston), Angie (Jacob), Nathan (Carrie), and Melody (Jason); seven great-grandchildren: Nora, Grace, Levi, Kennedy, Myles, Luca, and Amelia; and daughter in-law, Connie Grinwis. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Gertrude Danhof; husband, Robert Grinwis; son, Richard Grinwis; brother, Joseph (Doris) Danhof; and sister, Alma (Edwin) Walhout.

A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held for Lois at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 17, 2025, at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI, 49444, with VISITATION taking place an hour prior. In lieu of flowers, please consider making contributions to the Muskegon Rescue Mission or Heartland Hospice.
