Lois R. Guso, age 95 of Saxon, WI went to heaven on Tuesday, July 9, 2024. Lois was born January 26, 1929 in Joliet, IL the daughter of Daniel L. and Madeline (Walsh) Mostyn.
Lois became an executive secretary at a young age and worked for many influential executives. She worked for David Harrington of Lewis University in Romeoville, IL, an executive for a major airline company in Chicago and Rabbi Morris Hershman in Joliet, IL to name a few. She loved spending summers at their family cabin in Wisconsin. She and her husband Rocky owned and operated Harbor Lights Tavern in the early 1970's. Her hobbies included going to garage sales, sewing, arts and crafts, cooking, collecting antiques, rock picking along the beach, fishing, and making wild berry jams. In her later years, Lois and Rocky would spend winters in St. Petersburg and Gulfport, Florida. Lois volunteered at the Suncoast Hospice, retail shop cleaning, and pricing jewelry. She loved this opportunity to help others. In her mid 80's, Lois and Rocky moved permanently to Wisconsin. She was then moved to a nursing facility in 2018.
Lois will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and the staff at the nursing facility.
She is survived by her daughter; Linda "Lin" (Guso) Wietting, son-in-law; Edward Wietting, grandson; Jordan Wietting; and several nieces and nephews.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roque "Rocky" Guso (2021); sister, Jeanette Stefanech; and brother, Thomas Mostyn.
Per Lois's wishes, there will be no public funeral services at this time.
