Virginia C. Adler, age 90 of Marengo, WI passed away Monday, June 24, 2024 at her residence with her loving family by her bedside. She was born Jan 4, 1934 in Marengo the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Kohler) Pfeffer.
Virginia was an Ashland High School graduate, class of 1951. On June 30, 1951 she married Herbert G. Adler in Sanborn, WI. She drove school bus for Lake Shore Bus Company in Ashland for over 44 years. She was the secretary treasurer for the Marengo Athletic Association in Marengo for many years. She was a devout Catholic and recited the Rosary daily.
Survivors include her loving husband of 73 years, Herbert, of Marengo, WI; sons: Herb and Neil (Kathy) all of Marengo; grandchildren: Larina (Pat) Berger, Jeff (Tonya), Brandell and Caleb Adler; two great-grandchildren: Anthony and Emily; sister: Clairy Stolarczyk of Marshfield, WI and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; many siblings and her great-granddaughter, Annalease.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Saint Anthony Catholic Church in Highbridge, WI with Father Aloysius Anthony as Celebrant.
A gathering of family and friends will begin at 9:30 with a Rosary Service beginning at 10:30 at the Church in Highbridge on Saturday.
Interment in Saint Agnes Cemetery in Ashland will take place at a later date.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Mountain Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Ashland and Mellen, WI.
