Lois "Lodi" Ann Johnson, age 76, a resident of Corbin, Kentucky, formerly of Middlesboro, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on October 18, 2025.
She was born July 10, 1949, in Middlesboro, the daughter of the late Lee and Ruby Turner Houston.
Lodi loved the Lord and was a member of Richardson's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. She was joyful in worship and loved to tell others about her Baptism in the Powell River.
A personality that could light up a room, Lodi was best known for her quick wit and clever humor. She was also an excellent cook who could whip up a delicious hot meal – always making sure her family was fed. She also enjoyed music and adored spending time with those she loved most.
Lodi's daughters were her best friends, and they loved her so dearly; they will miss her more than words can express until they are once again reunited.
"But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you." 1 Peter 5:10.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Johnson, brothers and sisters Ira M. Houston, Dorothy M. Houston Goad, Danny Houston, Carol Houston Johnson and Randy Houston.
Left to cherish her memory, loving daughters Marsha Carr Hurst and husband David of Corbin, Robin Carr Baker and husband Keith of Middlesboro, and Jeanie Johnson Brock and husband Matt of Middlesboro, siblings Myra Lynn Houston, Mary Louise McManaway and Jerry Houston, grandchildren Quinton Powers of Berea, Rachael Allen (Austin) of Corbin, Sydney Adams (Dylan) of Corbin, Austin Baker, Dylan Baker, Christopher Garrett, Brandon Garrett (Mary), Lindsey Johnson, Jared Gullett, Jake Gullett, Joshua Gullett and wife, all of Middlesboro, great-grandchildren Sophia Jane Allen, Ivy Jewell Allen, Bentley Blevins, Madalyn Blevins, Israel Baker, Jaylnn Baker, Isabella Barnett, Kinsey Barnett, Aubree Gullett and Ana Gullett, as well as a host of many other relatives and friends who will miss her so dearly.
The family of Lois "Lodi" Johnson will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Friday, October 24, 2025 at Green Hills Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, October 24, 2025 at the Green Hills Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Wilson officiating. Music will be provided by Darren and Vanessa Nichols and Sydney Adams.
Interment to immediately follow at the Green Hills Memorial Gardens, Middlesboro, Kentucky.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
