Lois Kelley

Lois Kelley, 83, of Mitchell, SD, died Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at her home. A Celebration of Life will be Monday, November 28, from 7-9:00 PM at Bittner Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Omaha and Putnam County, MO in the Spring of 2023.

Lois Kelley was born July 6, 1939, in Livonia, MO to Pearlie Brown and Zelma White. Throughout her life, Lois lived in Green City, MO, Keystone, IA, Shellsburg, IA, Sioux Falls, SD, and Mitchell, SD

Lois worked for 3M and then Toshiba for many years until her retirement. She was a representative for the Mitchell plant twice at the Toshiba world conference in Japan.

Lois was a 50+ year member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was also a national medal winner of the McDonald's crew position competition held in Chicago, IL at the McDonald's headquarters.

Lois was very independent, and lived in her home for 48 years and was still driving. She always enjoyed her time spent with friends in her ladies' luncheon group and those she worked with at Toshiba.

Lois is survived by her son, Basil "Gene" Kelley and wife Sandra, Mitchell, SD; grandchildren: Brandon Kelley, Longmont, CO, Morgan and Jessica Kelley, Sioux Falls, SD; brother, Lowell (Glenda) Brown, Unionville, MO; and nieces: Sharee Hicks, Unionville, MO; Shona (Mike) Raskie, Exline, IA; Shayla Brensdal, Gladstone, MO; and Shellee (Tom) Muilenberg, Unionville, MO.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pearlie and Zelma Brown, and her grandparents.
