Lois Anne Martin, 84, born on July 27, 1941, lived a life defined by responsibility, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to doing what was right—especially when it was difficult. Her life’s work was not loud or self-promotional, but its impact was profound and lasting.

Lois had a lifelong affinity for animals, particularly German Shepherds, whom she admired for their loyalty, intelligence, and protective nature. Those same qualities defined her character. Her home was a place of safety — for her dogs and, more importantly, for children who needed stability and direction. For which we are forever grateful!

She believed deeply in teaching practical life skills and instilled common sense and a disciplined work ethic. She taught that effort mattered, excuses did not, and that independence was earned through responsibility and perseverance.

The lessons Lois taught were not always easy, but they were invaluable. Because of her sacrifices, guidance, and steadfast belief in doing things the right way, lives were redirected and futures reshaped. Her influence continues to be felt in the values, resilience, and character of those she helped raise.

Lois Anne Martin leaves behind a legacy of strength, discipline, loyalty, and service to others. She is remembered with deep gratitude, enduring respect, and love by those whose lives are better because she chose to step forward and carry a burden few would take on.

Lois is survived by her German Shepherd, Bronson Martin. In lieu of please make donations to KnJs Shepherd Haven in Williamsburg, OH.

A gravesite service will be held at Spring Grove Cemetery on Friday, January 9th, 2026 at 3pm. The procession will begin from the main entrance of the Cemetery to the site. She will be buried next to her mother, Elizabeth Navroth.
