Lois Jean Maze was born February 13, 1960 in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Lloyd & Mildred Talbot. She was one of four children, three girls, and one boy.

Lois was a graduate of Port Allen high school, Southern University, and Louisiana State University. She later married Herbert Maze Junior and had two children, Herbert Maze III and Harlan Leanthony Maze. They then migrated to Royal Palm Beach, Florida, where they reside.

Lois worked for the truancy department, and also in the business her and her husband started called Herb's Auto Towing Tire Service in West Palm Beach, Florida. She was very involved in her community and very active in her kids lives. She later retired and worked at Home Depot part time in Royal Palm Beach, Florida. Lois soon took ill with cancer, and after a long hard fight, she passed September 22, 2025.

She will be missed by her two son's Herbert and Harlan, her grandchildren Makiyah, Markus, Ja'Kian, Maddison, Micah, Makayla, Quran Maze, and her sister Leslie Miller and brother Lloyd Talbot Jr. Also a whole bunch of nieces and nephews and cousins.
