Lois Morrison, of Pauls Valley, left this earthly world and was reunited with Joe on May 9, 2025 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 92 years.
Lois Russell was born September 26, 1932 at home in the Whitebead Community near Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Ollie Lester and Callie Marguerite (Hunt) Russell. On February 7, 1948 she and Joe J. "Pete" Morrison were married in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. They were blessed with two children Margaret in 1948 and Roger in 1951. She and her family left Whitebead when her kids were in Elementary School and moved to Hennessy, Oklahoma for a number of years. They returned to make their home in Whitebead Community in the 1990's. She worked in many occupations, Clerk at Western Auto, Otasco, Loves and 4 T's but she mostly enjoyed working as Cook and watching local children.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ollie Lester and Callie Marguerite Russell; her husband, Joe J. "Pete" Morrison; and sisters, Berniece Irby and Pauline Baker.
Her surviving family includes her daughter Margaret Hintz and husband Jo-Al, her son Roger Morrison and wife, Cheryl; 8 grandchildren, Rewa Mariger, Lauri Stanek, Janet Morrison, Ty Hintz, Brenda Morrison, Callie VanHoutan, Libby Duvall and Ali Morrison; as well as 12 great grandchildren, Danya, Katie, Elias, Selah, Skye, Angel, Emry, Colin, Neveah, Faith, Rylie and Porter.
A time of visitation and viewing for family and friends is scheduled for Thursday, May 15th from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 16, 2025 at 10:30am at the Whitebead Cemetery officiated by Family and Friends. Interment will be at Whitebead Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home. We invite you to send words of comfort to the family at www.stufflebeanfuneralhome.com.
