Lois Ness Obituary

Lois M. (Oberg) Ness, of Brockton, passed away on February 9, 2026. She was 92. Lois was born and raised in Brockton and attended Brockton High School and later Brockton Business School. She worked at Campello Co-Op Bank until meeting her husband and marrying in 1954. Lois and John "Bud" remained in Brockton and proudly began raising their family.

Lois was a life-long member of the First Lutheran Church and was active in the Martha Guild, Pastor's Aide, Altar guild and Bible study. Free time was spent baking, reading, and enjoying time with family and friends. Lois spent many summers in Pocasset with Bud. She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed.

Beloved wife of the late John R. "Bud" Ness. Devoted mother of Cindy Lagerval and her husband Richie of East Bridgewater, Bradford Ness and his wife Kathy of Easton, and Pam Farren and her husband Pete of Brockton. Cherished Grammie of 9 grandchildren and GiGi of 12 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her loving parents Clifford and Esther Oberg and brother Dr. Warren B. Oberg.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at 10 AM on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at First Lutheran Church, 900 Main Street, Brockton, MA 02301. A Funeral Service will follow in the church at 11 AM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater at a later date.

In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Lois may be made to any of the following charities she was passionate about: First Lutheran Church - Calumet Campership Fund, Children's Ark Preschool at First Lutheran Church, Camp Calumet, or Old Colony Hospice.
