Alice J. Brady, age 88 of Henderson, Nevada passed away peacefully at Oasis Nursing and Rehabilitation on Monday, February 9, 2026. She was born June 21, 1937, in Brockton, Massachusetts, daughter of the late Loyami A.Wedge and Rose M. Wedge. Alice was a graduate of Brockton High School, where she met her husband, James P. Brady, while roller-skating at the local skating rink. Alice and James were married on February 3, 1957, in Brockton, Massachusetts.
Alice worked at the Gulf Oil and Gas Company in Plymouth, Massachusetts prior to moving to California. After her husband's early death at the age of 34, Alice raised her six children while continuing to work full-time. While in California, she worked for both Beckman Industries and later, Entrepreneur Inc, for a combined time period of 30 years. She returned to Plymouth and lived with her daughter and son-in-law for 8 years. She moved to Henderson, Nevada in 2007 to live with her son and daughter-in-law. Alice enjoyed going to brunch with her family and friends at Green Valley Ranch Resort's buffet. She was friends with several neighbors that lived on the same cul-de-sac in Henderson. She loved making and decorating cards with sparkles for everyone's birthday, anniversary, or holiday, and maintained an extensive list of those to whom she sent cards. Alice could often be found sitting in the swing or chairs on the front porch in Henderson, crocheting blankets and gifts for family and friends.
Alice was pre-deceased by her parents, Loyami and Rose Wedge, her brothers; Edward Wedge and Vincent Wedge, her sisters; Genevieve Wedge and Lucille Mitchell. Alice is survived by her sister Marilyn MacMillan. She is also survived by her sons; Kevin Brady (Gina - Wife), Shawn Brady, and James Brady, her daughters; Brenda Amburgey (Bill - Husband), Melissa Mahoney (Michael - Late Husband), and Pamela Brady-White ( Michael - Husband); along with over 15 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
