Lois M. Ogea, 82, formerly of Champion, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 15, 2024 at her daughter's home in Georgia.
Lois was born in Ishpeming on June 18, 1941 to the late Byron and Leona Lindholm. She graduated from Ishpeming High School, and later Northern Michigan University with a degree in education.
Lois's career as a teacher allowed her to touch the lives of hundreds of her students. After retirement Lois and Bryan spent many years traveling and snow birding between Champion and Florida. Lois later moved to Florida full time, and then to Atlanta to be closer to family.
Lois is survived by her children: Troy (Linda) Ogea of Kennesaw, GA, Braun (Carol) Ogea of Manchester, IA, and Tania Ogea of Kennesaw, GA; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters: Lorraine (Thomas) Kevern of Gwinn, Ruth (Larry) Warner of Three Lakes, Debra (Donald) Palomaki of Ishpeming; and her brothers, Robert (Jean) Lindholm of Ishpeming and James (Amanda) Lindholm of Humboldt.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bryan Ogea; parents, Byron and Leona Lindholm; and brother, Paul Lindholm.
