Lois Palmer, age 79, of Antigo, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2025 at Aspirus Langlade Hospital with family present. Lois was born on April 30, 1946 in Marshfield, a daughter of Norman and Melba "Lucy" (Hager) Jacobitz.
She was a 1965 graduate of Loyal High School. She married Claire Palmer in 1984, they resided in Elcho. Following the death of her husband, Lois moved to Antigo.
Some of Lois' favorite things were her cats, her best friend's dogs, especially Oreo, western movies, candy, lunches at Dixie and her collectible doll, Lilly.
Survivors include a brother, Darrel Jacobitz of Homedale, Idaho; a sister, Mary (Dan) Decker of Holcombe; nephews, Mark Carter of Frankfort, Kentucky and Brent Decker of Dorechester; nieces, Lisa (Fred) Stary of Chippewa Falls, Sarah Paul (John Walton) of Jim Falls, Shanna (Grett Ott) Robinson of Cary, North Carolina, and Kena (Jerome) Sneed of North Carolina; and several great nieces and nephews. Lios is also survived by her wonderful friend and caregiver, Debbie Howard and her children, Amanda Howard, Kyle Shidell, TJ Howard, and Maria Maddix.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Wayne; and sister, Karen.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 2 at 11 a.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Elcho Cemetery.
