Lois L Prigge

Lois LaVonne Prigge, 91 of Winona, and formerly Dakota, died Friday, October 24, 2025 at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse.

Lois was born June 27, 1934 in Winona to Jacob and Leila (Jarcho) Davis. She attended Winona Senior High School. On May 1, 1954, she married Elmer “Mort” Prigge. Throughout the years, Lois worked at Wincraft, Asco, Riverside and retired from Watlow.  She was a longtime member of the La Crescent American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and following her retirement volunteered at Sauer Memorial Home.

She loved reading, sewing, canning, and flowers and had an extensive collection of glass and ceramic shoes.  She enjoyed passing on those skills to her children. Lois also enjoyed some occasional trips to the casino, crossword puzzles and watching the Young and the Restless and Game Show Network.

She is survived by her children, Kathi (Bob) Blank, Debbie Raudebush, Bonnie (Carl) Ask, JoAnn (Jeff) Demorest, Melinda Prigge, Paul (Amy) Prigge and Pamela (Ricky) Phillips; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her former husband, Mort; grandson, Anthony Prigge; great-grandson, Benjamin Hoover; son-in-law, Dave Raudebush and siblings, Lorraine (Newton) Hammond, Evelyn (Jack) Shiel, Vera (Lester) Wychgram, Lynn (Lyla) Davis, Ada (Wesley) Kittle and Marilyn (Dayton) Lien.

Memorial Service will be 11 a.m., Thursday, October 30, 2025 at Hoff Celebration of Life Center – Goodview. Visitation will be 10 a.m., until the time of the service. She will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery.
