Lois Ann Schultz, 74, of Booker, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2025.

Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at Shattuck Cemetery in Shattuck, Oklahoma. Celebration of life service will be 1:30 PM Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at Booker Methodist Church with Blake Terrell and Gene McPeak officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian.

Lois Ann was born in Oklahoma on February 12, 1951, she was lovingly adopted by Lee and Vernon Schultz. From her earliest days, she was recognized for her feisty spirit, sharp mind, and straight forward honesty. Lois was never afraid to speak her mind, and her infectious laugh had a way of filling every room she entered and lingered long after she left it.

Lois Ann was opinionated in the best sense of the word. She stood firm in her convictions, loved fiercely and full-heartedly, was loyal to her core, and gave selflessly. Her life served as a testament to the power of being authentically oneself—even if it was a hot mess every once in a while.

She had a deep love for her family, especially her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She also loved her community, never met a stranger, and found joy in gospel music, playing bridge, lively conversations, and cheering for all things OSU. She probably waved orange and black pompoms all the way to the heavenly gates.

Lois Ann is survived by her husband, Dwayne Armstrong; her sons, Dustin Hoover of Telluride, Colorado, and Creed Hoover and wife Sara of Booker, Texas; and her “darling” grandchildren, Charley, Ansley, and Jack. She leaves behind countless family and friends who will miss her honesty, humor, and generous heart.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider making a donation to a local community cause or, as Lois Ann would have loved, simply share a good story in her honor—especially one that brings a smile and laughter.
