Lois Fulmer Smith, 93, of Batesburg passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2024. Born in Aiken County on September 3, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Noah and Addie Bell Thornton Fulmer. Mrs. Smith enjoyed traveling to the mountains and loved to shop especially at Hamrick's. She was a member of Mt. Ebal Baptist Church. Mrs. Smith was known to be a loving person and especially loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and other extended family members.

Surviving are her daughter, Ann Mundy (Jimmy); three grandchildren, Kelly Miller, Bridgett Ard (Mike), and Travis Jones; as well as several great grandchildren to include, Ashlyn, Kaycie, Peyton and Memphis. She is also survived by her special nieces, a sister-in-law, Leconia Allison (Tom) as well as other extended family members. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Archie Smith; a daughter, Wanda Kay Diggs; and her siblings, Laura Bell Shumpert, Cleo Smith, Gene Fulmer and Peggy Clark.

The service for Mrs. Smith will be held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 8th at Mt. Ebal Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Paulling officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7th at Milton Shealy Funeral Home.

Mrs. Smith's family would like to give a special thanks to her granddaughter, Kelly Miller and her nieces, Mickey Gooding and Vicky Smith for their help and care over the years for Mrs. Smith.
