Lois Carol (Jones) Snider passed away peacefully at home on October 5, 2025. She and her husband, Donald “Don” Snider, were native Denverites. Lois was preceded in death by her husband Donald, and her beloved daughter, Janet Snider McNellis-King, her grandson, Nicholas Delmonico, her sisters Lorraine Jones Marchesi Koykendall and Gloria Jones Powell, and her brother, Luther “Lou” Frank Jones, Jr.
Lois graduated from West High School in Denver, and studied accountancy at the Denver Business School. She worked as a payroll supervisor in the federal government at the Denver Federal Center. After she and Don retired, they lived in Arizona for many years, but returned to Colorado in 2013. She enjoyed living in a senior retirement community in Golden, CO. She, then moved to a senior community in Lakewood, CO. She enjoyed genealogy, and compiled ancestral information on several family lines. She was an avid doll collector, and was a long-standing member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She remained a member of Calvary Church in Golden, and was grateful for visits or calls from several church members and the outreach pastor over the past five years.
She is survived by her daughters, Dona Snider Zimmerman and Joan Snider Joiner, her son-in-law, Ray Zimmerman, her brother, Alan Jones, and grandchildren Katy Zimmerman Chamberlain, Christine Delmonico, Christian McNellis, Angela Delmonico Alexander Mastera, Andrew Zimmerman, Corey McNellis, and Cole Joiner, as well as great-grandchildren Connor, Madison, and Audrey Chamberlain, Vincent and Dean Alexander, Teagan, Cayden & Madison McNellis, Sam and Joe McNellis, and Cooper and Amelia Joiner. The family extends our deepest gratitude to Lois’s loving caregivers, Caroline Montano and Elaine Woods.
Lois will be laid to rest in a private Graveside Service at Olinger Crown Hill Cemetery.
