Lois J. Stevens, 82 of Logansport passed away at 9:26 p.m., Monday, February 17, 2025 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Logansport.

Born on November 25, 1942 in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late Monroe “Dutch” and Edna (Strong) Stevens.

She was a 1960 Lucerne High School graduate.

Lois formerly was employed at RBM and retired from Federal Mogul in 2012 at the age of 70.

Lois was a proud recipient of the Pharos Tribune Good Neighbor Award and was well known for helping others, walking downtown with her weimaraner, Millie, and taking care of her garden. For many years Lois was an avid bowler and received many awards while playing in bowling leagues. Lois was a fierce competitor of the Corporate Challenge and won several metals for her age category in the 100 yard dash, miniature golf, bike race, and horse shoe competition. The "Stevens Luck" was real and well experienced when Lois and her mother played the casinos, bingo, euchre, fishing and mushroom hunting. She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church, Logansport Moose and a former member of the Eagles. 

Survivors include her nieces and nephews, Valli Hood (David) of Logansport, Marla Evanich (Tom) of Logansport, Greg Bruce (Laura) of California, Scott Bruce (Diane) of Logansport, Debb Stevens of Lucerne, Jan Layer (Rich) of Royal Center, Ken Stevens (Cindy) of Logansport and Michael Stevens (Karen) of Lucerne. She is also survived by her beloved canine companion, Millie.

She was also preceded in death by sister, Mary Bruce and brother, James Stevens.

Private Interment will be at Zion Cemetery in Lucerne.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Cass County Humane Society.
