Lois Helen Stone

Lois Helen Stone, 92, of Ocala, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, December

17th, 2025. She was born April 23,1933 in Weymouth, Massachusetts where

she worked for a short while as a telephone operator. She married in 1954,

moved to Florida and started a family.

Lois was a dedicated homemaker whose hobbies included baking, knitting, and

just about any board game. She was a second "Mom" to many and a beloved

Girl Scout leader. She was well known for her holiday cards embellished with

stickers that she consistently sent to family and friends for 70 years. She made

the best cookies and was a puzzle master.

She is survived by her daughters, Kathryn Picciano, of Brooksville, and Sally

Shepard, of Ocala; sons-in-law Robert Picciano and John Shepard, Sr.; 4

grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and her brother. She was predeceased by

her husband, Harold Barnett Stone, and son, Mark Douglas Stone, and her two
