Lois Collins Wilburn, age 88, of Hendersonville, Tennessee, passed away on November 8, 2025. Lois was born on April 10, 1937, in Nashville, Tennessee, to the late Edwin Chester Collins and Grace Collins Maxey. Lois was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Wilburn, and her brothers and sisters.
Lois is survived by her step daughter Vickie Wilburn; grandchildren Lauren Smith (Matt) and Lindsay George; great grandchildren Eli, Henry, and Wyatt Smith and Brendan and Charlotte Wolberg; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Lois graduated in 1957 from Central High School. A devout Christian who enjoyed reading and studying the Bible, Lois was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Hendersonville. Lois enjoyed traveling, playing cards with friends, watching sports, and spending time with family.
Lois was married to the love of her life, Thomas Wilburn, for forty three years; Lois and Tom were faithful members at church. Together, they enjoyed traveling and never left each other’s side.
Visitation for Lois will be held Friday, November 14, 2025 from 9 to 11am at Hendersonville First Baptist Church. A celebration of life will be held at 11am at the same location. Burial will follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to First Baptist Church of Hendersonville in Lois’s honor.
