Mrs. Lois Warren Woods, age eighty-two, departed this life and entered into eternal rest Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. She was born in Person County March 23, 1943 to the late John J. Warren and Bertha Brown Warren, was a member of Elijah Grove Missionary Baptist Church and made her home in Leasburg, North Carolina.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Mashonda Warren; a son, Tracy D. Warren; and a nephew, John T. Warren.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories, her husband, Isiah Woods of Semora, North Carolina; children: Kenneth Warren and Isiah Woods, Jr., both of Newark, New Jersey; grandchildren: Timothy Warren of Durham, North Carolina, Tahjj Hemby, Khloe Warren Galloway, Amir Woods and Isiah Woods, all of Newark; great-grandchildren: Ayaan Hemby and Royal Hemby, both of Plainfield, New Jersey; siblings: Anita Meeks and Clarence W. Warren, both of Leasburg, North Carolina, Bernice C. Barzilay, Timothy Warren (Rachel) and John T. Warren, both of Roxboro, Warrant G. Warren of San Antonio, Texas, Carlton I. Warren of Henderson, North Carolina, Chris Warren of Florida and Leslie E. Warren and Diane Warren, also of Newark; nieces and nephews: Lisa Sales (Rick) of Akron, Ohio, Delphine Lomax (Pete) of Atlanta, Georgia, Franklin I. Warren (Claudette) of Roxboro, Anthony Warren (Lacy) of Hampton, Virginia, Trease Carrington and John E. Carrington (Dearshar), both of Roxboro, Cynthia Norwood of Henderson, Liberty Jones, Traniece Williams and Taneisha Williams; and a host of other other loving relatives and friends.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 3:00pm at the Elijah Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 11469 Virgilina Road, Roxboro, North Carolina 27574, with the Reverend Dr. Alfred Faulkner, Pastor, officiating and the Reverend Dwight L. Wilkerson, Pastor at Dan River Bethel Baptist Church in South Boston, Virginia, providing the eulogy. Visitation will also be Saturday at the church from 2:00pm to 3:00pm, when her body will lie in state for one hour prior to the service.

At other times, the family will receive visitors at her home, 5233 Ralph Winstead Road in Leasburg, North Carolina 27291.
