Lola Marie Reisner, 87, of Hiawatha, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy.

Visitation: Friday, November 7, 2025, from 4–7 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.

Inurnment: Private at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

Survivors include her children, Francine Harrington and James (Anita) Reisner; sister, Shirley Shank; grandchildren, Shannon (Brett) Harrington-Alderman, Joseph Harrington, Patrick Harrington, David (LanaeLee) Reisner, and Anna Reisner; great-grandchildren, Camden, Hayden, Liv, and another expected in July. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Lola was born on January 20, 1938, in Belle Plaine, Iowa, the daughter of Edward and Helen (Shurtz) Janes. She graduated from Victor Public Schools.

Lola was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she served on the Board of Human Care and in Stephen Ministry. She also taught Sunday School for over 30 years and worked as custodian for the church and school. Her faith and church family were a central part of her life, and she found great joy in her Bible study groups and in caring for others.

Lola had a zest for life and boundless energy that inspired everyone who knew her. She loved dancing and performed in recitals well into her 40s. She played Granny Basketball into her 80s, delighting in the competition and camaraderie. She also loved to travel-visiting places like Ireland and Alaska-and frequently traveled to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. One of her most memorable adventures was a recent cross-country trip with her grandson.

Never one to sit still, Lola continued to work into her 80s, always finding purpose in staying active and helping others. She was deeply loved by her extended family and friends and was known for her warm heart and famous bear hugs.

Memorials may be directed to Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy.
