Lola Mae Yeager, daughter of Luther Harold and Ava Mae "Pat" (Dunn) Mattson was born April 22, 1937 in Stanton, IA. She passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at the Good Samaritan Society in Red Oak, IA at the age of 75 years, 6 months and 24 days. Lola attended high school in Red Oak, and was united in marriage to Norman C. Yeager on June 13, 1954 in Omaha, NE. They lived in Omaha until 1958, when they moved to Red Oak and then later moved to the farm west of Red Oak. Lola and Norman made this farm their home for 45 years, before moving into Red Oak in 2005. Lola enjoyed bowling, traveling, gardening and shopping. She loved to fly with Norm; she even took flying lessons from him. Lola was an elementary Sunday school teacher in Emerson, IA for many years. She treasured her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Lola was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Margaret Hayes; and brother, Carl Mattson. Lola is survived by her husband, Norman Yeager of Red Oak, IA; five children: Mark Yeager of Emerson, IA; Lori Quinton and husband David of Dallas, OR; Michael Yeager of Houston, TX; Kerry Yeager and wife Donna of Red Oak, IA; and Cheryl Yeager of Braddyville, IA; 15 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Neva Slump and husband DeLaine of Henderson, IA; brothers-in-law: Wilbur Yeager and wife Lucy of Red Oak, IA; and Keith Yeager of Red Oak, IA; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. May God bless her memory and give strength to those who mourn. Funeral Service will be held Monday, November 19, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Faith Community Church, Red Oak Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Red Oak Pastor Brett White, Officiating Visitation with the family present, Sunday afternoon from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home Family request memorials in lieu of flowers in Lola's name. Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
