HILLSDALE - Lon H. King, age 77, of Hillsdale, Michigan, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2025.
He was born in Jackson, Michigan, on April 18, 1948, son of the late Howard and Shirley (Gramling) King.
Lon was a proud graduate of Ashley High School, Class of 1966, and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Radio and Television Broadcasting from Indiana University Bloomington.
He served his country with honor as a captain and C-130 pilot in the United States Air Force for 10 years.
Following his military service, Lon enjoyed a successful career as owner of 4 Kings Marketing Inc. for more than three decades.
Known for his curious mind and hands-on nature, Lon loved tinkering with projects, watching NASCAR, and spending time outdoors. He shared a special bond with his beloved pets, Princess, Shadow and Scooter. More than anything, Lon treasured his family, who brought him endless pride and joy.
Lon is survived by his wife of 33 years, Susan King; his four children, Cameron King, Greyson (Sydney) King, Austin (Robin) King and Aynsley (Mathew) Bosse; two cherished grandchildren, Barrett and Emberly King; and his sister, Laurie Raker.
A graveside service will be held in Lon's honor on Monday, Sept. 22, 2025, at 10:10 a.m., at Roseland Memorial Gardens in Jackson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice of Hillsdale County.
Arrangements have been entrusted to VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home, Hillsdale.
