Lon Livengood, 85 died June 5, 2025, in rural Morganville, KS. He was born on November 13, 1939, in Abilene, KS, the son of Everett and Maxine (Buck) Livengood. Lon was raised in the Morganville community and was a graduate of Morganville High School. Lon married Rosie Young on July 23, 1961. They farmed in the Clifton-Clyde area and in Barnes before moving to Clay Center. In 1970, Lon opened Lon's OK Tire. In 1980 he worked for N K Body Shop. Lon also helped his father on the farm, eventually taking over all farming operations when Everett retired. Rosie preceded him in death on March 25, 2023. Lon was a member of the Morganville United Methodist Church, served as a volunteer for the Sheriff's Department, and was a former member of the Optimist Club. Lon and Rosie enjoyed square dancing and vacations to Colorado. He was also preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gary.

Survivors:

Daughter: Christine and husband Marshall Foster of Morganville, KS

Son: Jeff and wife Betty Livengood of Clay Center, KS

6 Grandchildren and 16 Great-grandchildren

Visitation: 3-6 PM Monday, June 9, 2025, at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home

Memorials: Meadowlark Hospice c/o the funeral home

Private graveside services will be held at a later date
