Lon Taylor, 55 of Sarcoxie, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at the Granby House with his family by his side.

Lon was born on Tuesday, August 18, 1970, in Stella, Missouri to the union of Lonnie and Donna (Campbell) Taylor. Lon graduated from Neosho High School in 1988 and then furthered his education in mechanics. He was united in marriage to Tammy Sue Hottel on April 23, 1995, two children were born to this union, Katie (Taylor) Baublitz and Kyle Tayor. Lon worked several different professions, but mechanic and farm work were his passion. Lon became disabled in 2004, if you knew Lon two favorite hobbies were fishing and coon hunting. He spent many hours in the woods and developed many friendships and one being Texe Boggs. They spent several nights in the woods together training dogs.

Lon is survived by his daughter, Katie Baublitz and husband, Jed, of Sarcoxie and Kyle Taylor of Neosho; daughter-in-law, Constance Taylor of Stotts City; four grandchildren, Sterling Baublitz, Staddler Baublitz, Delilah Taylor and Adeline Taylor; nephew, who he loved as a son, Jessie Taylor and wife, Kimberly, of Sarcoxie; three great-nephews who were more like grandchildren, Cole Taylor, Clinton Taylor and Case Taylor; sister, Debbie Taylor of Granby; sister-in-law, Nickie Taylor, of Miller; nieces, Naomi Morris and husband, Derek of Miller and Savannah McCloskey and husband, Steven of Granby.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Donna (Campbell) Taylor; brothers, Lee Wayne Taylor and Louie Taylor.

Celebration of life will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Rafter J Event Center in Sarcoxie with Texe Boggs officiating. Lunch will follow.

Cremation arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home in Sarcoxie, Missouri.
