Lonas Eugene Craig

Lonas (Gene) Eugene Craig, 70, of Lenoir City, formerly of the Cave Creek community, passed away on December 4, 2025.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lonas Craig; his mother, Flois Brown; his brother, Greg Craig; and his devoted four-legged companion, Leo, who never left his side.
Gene leaves many behind to cherish his memory: his life partner, Patsy (Pat) Barger; his daughter and son-in-law, Natisha and Brian Sims; his daughters, Tangy Croft (Tony Chamberlain), Dianne Craig; his bonus child and wife, Ray and Lilly Cerulean; his grandson, Jameson Craig Croft, and his father, Jamie Croft. He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Tim Selvidge of Knoxville; his brother, Chobby Craig of Lenoir City; his sister-in-law, Donna Lowe of Lenoir City; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Gene was known for his love of good, long conversations and his deep affection for nature and all animals. His best years were spent outdoors surrounded by his family. To know Gene was to settle into a chair, listen to his stories, and share in his laughter.
A graveside memorial will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery in Loudon on December 17th 2025 at 4:00pm.
