Ms. Lonnell Robinson Phillips, age 69, of Lake Sinclaire, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026, at Washington County Regional Medical Center, following an extended illness. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held on Thursday, February 12th at 11:00 a.m. at the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in Sisters Baptist Church Cemetery. Reverends, Danny Thomas and Weston Williford will officiate. Lonnell's family will greet friends on Wednesday, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
Lonnell was born and reared in Sandersville, daughter of the late Lonnie Robinson and the late Ammie Louise Johnson Robinson. She graduated from Washington County High School in 1974 and attended Warner Robins School of Cosmetology. She created Lonnell's Beauty Salon in 1976, where she worked for the remainder of her life. She was an extremely hard worker, working many 12-hour days. She was beloved and treasured by her clients. Her shop continued even in her absence, as she and her late husband Danny Ray lived two years in Alaska. Following Dannys untimely death, Lonnell moved to East Lake on Lake Sinclaire, a place that brought her much joy. In spare time, she loved crafting wood products and especially bird houses, which she would meticulously paint. She also enjoyed cooking for family and friends. Lonnell was a very independent person who possessed a giving heart. In addition to her parents and husband, Lonnell is also predeceased by siblings, Billy Johnson, Frank Cooper, and Brenda Robinson, her nephews, Greg Cooper and Heath Hannah and her beloved furry companion, Shonna Nevada.
Survivors include her step children, Lisa Turner and her husband John and D.J. Phillips and his wife Celena all of Glennwood, GA.; step grandchildren, Sierra Thompson, Crystal Thompson, Le'Nora Turner, Jonathan Turner, Logan Phillips, Paige Phillips and R.J. Phillips; her siblings, J.W. Cooper (Sara Knight) of Dublin, Bertha Sanders (Grady) of Sandersville and Mike Robinson (Deborah) of Davisboro and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Broken Shackle Ranch, Inc., at 1542 Francis Bridge Road, Davisboro GA, 31018
