Lonnie Adams Obituary
Smithfield, NC: Mr. Lonnie Carson Adams, age 82, of Smithfield passed away on Friday, July 4, 2025 at his residence. Graveside Funeral Service will be held-11:00 AM Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at Hills of the Neuse Memorial Gardens in Smithfield. Officiating will be Rev. Luke Copeland.
Mr. Adams was born on September 9, 1942 in Johnston County to the late Lonnie Arthur and Elsie Adams. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Cecil Adams, Frank Adams, Bobby Adams as well as his sister, Dorothy Purcell. Mr. Adams was a mechanic with Merck Pharmaceuticals prior to retirement. He was an outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt but also loved to work on computers. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Surviving includes his wife, Delores Adams of Garner; daughters, Lisa Tucker and husband, James of Smithfield, and Loni Adams of Garner; grandson, Gabriel Lewis of Smithfield; and sister, Eileen Boyette of Kenly.
The family will receive friends immediately following the graveside service.
