Lonnie Dean Fox, 72, of Fulton passed away on October 7, 2024, at Macon Health Center.
He was born in California on December 17, 1951 to the late Troy Larabee and the late Wanda (Lewis) Fox. He was raised by his mother Wanda and his stepfather Roy Fox.
Lonnie was united in marriage to Carroll Teel on January 17, 1987, she survives his passing.
Lonnie served in United States Army for 21 years and retired on July 31, 1995. He worked for the Missouri State Penitentiary and then transferred to the Fulton Reception and Diagnostic Center in Fulton, before eventually retiring from BIGGS Fulton State Hospital.
In his younger years Lonnie enjoyed playing Football and Baseball, his other favorite pastimes were fishing in his backyard, watching sports, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Carroll, son, Shawn Fox (Kimberly McNeill); daughters, Dawn Fox, Nikki Fox; stepsons, Tony Lortz (Stephanie), Terry Lortz; stepdaughter, Joanna Coffman (Robert), along with 4 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, and 2 step great grandchildren.
Lonnie was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Larry Larabee, and Raymond Fox and his sister, Wanda Craig.
Full Military Honors will be held for Lonnie on Friday, October 18, 2024 at 4:00 pm at Maupin Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm until time of honors at the Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society
