I met Lonnie at Lexington, KY about 28 years ago. At the auction I purchased the Iron County Farm's Skip Away yearling colt and named it 'Skip to Mizzou'. From that day forward I always considered Lonnie a friend. He introduced me to his brother, Frank, who was a horse trainer in Chicago. Lonnie, Frank, George Middleton and I had a lot of laughs together at the race tracks in Chicago. May Lonnie rest in peace and my best regards to his wife and family. J. David Banks, Columbia, MO
