Lonnie McCrary Obituary
Lonette “Lonnie” McCrary, 91, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, September 21, 2025, in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee. She was born on October 5, 1933, in Maury County, Tennessee, to the late Frank and Freda Hines.
Lonnie lived a life filled with love, warmth, and kindness. A devoted wife and loving mother of six, she had a heart that embraced everyone she met. She was a lifelong animal lover, especially devoted to her dogs, and she found joy in caring for them. Married to an Army Sergeant, Lonnie proudly traveled the world alongside her husband, building memories and experiences that shaped her family’s story. She also had a deep love for music of all kinds, always finding comfort and joy in song.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Doyle McCrary; her children, Billy Glenn Roberts, Gwenda Lynn Roberts, Jackie Dwayne Roberts, and Doyle Scott McCrary; and her brother, Warren Frank Sims.
Lonnie is survived by her children, Doyle Garth McCrary and Jodi Ann McCrary; her grandchildren, April Norman, Cody Norman, Candy Nilo, Christa Jo Sanchez, Christian McCrary, Haley McCrary, Justin McCrary, Crystal Colvett, Breanne Colvett, and Cayce McCrary; as well as her great-grandchildren, Cadence McKennon, Kaegan McKennon, Ryker Parham, Brayden McCrary, Anniston McCrary, Grayson Bailey, Mikey Fuller, Levi Roberson, Emily Roberson, Conner McCrary, Cannon McCrary, Maddy McCrary, Charlie Nilo, Sarah Nilo, Caliyanah Nilo, Sonnie Nilo, Delia Sanchez, James Jackie Sanchez, and Anna Leya Sanchez.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 25, 2025, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant.
Lonnie will be remembered as a strong, loving woman whose kindness and devotion will live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew her.
