Matthew Lawrence Chapman, born on September 14, 1980, in Fort Walton, FL, to the late Grover and Patricia Ann McNabb Chapman went to his heavenly home on September 15, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. A celebration of Matthew’s life will be held at Williams Funeral Home in Mt Pleasant, TN on Saturday at 10AM, September 20,2025.
His final resting place will be at Pisgah Cemetery in Hampshire, TN. Pallbearers will include Justin Bentley, William Lalik, Shaun Lituanas, Jason Bentley, Charles Orr and Billy Beard. His honorary pallbearers will be members of Sandy Hook church of Christ and close childhood friends.
The family would love for everyone to come and remember Matthew on Friday, September 19, from 2-8 PM to share memories of his life.
Matthew was one of a kind that you couldn’t help feeling the love he had for his Lord and Savior. As devoted Christian, Matthew’s favorite past time was being with his church family on Sundays and Wednesday. He also loved being with his school friends at Centerstone.
In addition to being a devoted Christian and friend, Matthew recently met Heather Dale, the love of his life that he often talked about marrying one day.
Along with the love of his life, Matthew leaves behind his sisters: Trudy (Jason) Bentley of Archbold, Ohio; Angela (Jason) Cummins, Emily (Billy) Beard of Mt, Pleasant, TN and Stella Hudson of Florida. Several nieces and nephews along with great nieces and nephews. Aunts, Uncles and cousins. With the one special Aunt Stella Runions that he shared a special bond.
Matthew was preceded in death by his parents Grover and Patricia Ann Chapman, his sister Robin Chapman, also several aunts and uncles.
