Brice passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 in DeFuniak Springs, Florida at his son’s home where he spent most of his retirement helping his son on the farm. He was born to the late Harvey and Lois (Etheridge) McRorey on October 18, 1957 in Dallas, Texas. He was a Journeymen Carpenter since 1982 and then worked as a Pipeline Surveyor for many years until his retirement. He enjoyed cooking, barbequing, being outdoors, sitting around the campfire telling stories, going fishing, camping, exploring and taking back road adventures with his wife. Brice loved teaching children something new about the outdoors any chance he got. He was a history buff and knew many things, he was a jack of all trades. He was such a people person and could strike up a conversation with anyone at any time. He was such a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and brother who was always so kind, compassionate and willing to help others.
Brice is survived by his wife of 48 years, Christina (Fonzi) McRorey; children, Lonnie B. McRorey Jr. and Monica R. McRorey; grandson, Sean M. McKee; brother, Bruce (Cindy) McRorey; mother-in-law, Nancy Fonzi; brother-in-law’s, Frank (Patsy) Fonzi, David (Diane) Fonzi and Glenn (Bobbi) Fonzi; sister-in-law, Leslie (Mike) Fonzi-Lynch and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
