DYER CHAPEL-Lonnie Mark Pullum, born on November 24, 1949, in Buffalo Valley, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 4 2024, in Cookeville, Tennessee at his residence with his wife and daughter by his side. He was 75 years old at the time of passing.
Lonnie had a rewarding career at the Tennessee Tech Golf Course, where he combined his passion for the game with beautiful landscape of the course. His love for golf extended beyond his work; he was an avid golfer who found joy on the green, forging memorable experiences with friends and family alike.
Lonnie shared a deep bond with nature, especially evident in his hobbies of gardening and arrowhead hunting with his son, Mark. He was also passionate about riding his Harley, often embracing the freedom of the open road. He loved to poke fun with his family and friends that's how they all knew he loved them.
He will be remembered fondly by his loving wife, Joyce Mannon Pullum, whom he married on November 1, 2002, in Akron, Ohio. Lonnie took pride in his family, including his son, Mark (Shannon) Pullum of Baxter, and his daughter, Sarah (T.J.) Davison, also of Baxter. He cherished the moments spent with his grandchildren, Shelby Pullum, Allee Williams, and Alivia Williams, as well as his great-grandchildren, Jack Taylor Rich and Lettie Rich.
Lonnie is survived by his sisters, Rosemary Burger of Chatsworth, Georgia, and Vickie (Charlie) Daniels of Cookeville. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends, who remember him not only for his generous spirit and zest for life but also for the love he shared with those around him.
Lonnie was predeceased by his parents, John Tubb Pullum and Nell Dean Wade Pullum Terry, and his sisters, Linda Goodwin and Cindy Harville.
