Lonnie passed away on March 1, 2023 at Tampa General Hospital.
He was born in Orlando, FL on December 21, 1957 along with his triplet brothers, Donnie and Ronnie.
Lonnie leaves behind his triplet brother Donnie Strickland (wife Anne), his sister Darlene Johnson, his son Chase Strickland (wife Natalee), his son Trevor Strickland, two granddaughters Ainslee and Brynlee Strickland, niece Brianna Fowler, nephews Ronnie Strickland (wife Savana, son Rhett) and Brandon Boyer (Christina, daughter Isabella and son Brody) as well as his entire STRICK9 Racing extended family.
A Memorial Service to honor him will be held at 10:00 AM on April 1st, 2023 at Pathway Church on 58th Ave in Vero Beach.
Lonnie has been a fixture in the Vero Beach and stock car racing communities for 40+ years. His kindness, generosity, and fun-loving spirit will go unmatched and he will be missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting him.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a tribute donation to the Autism Speaks Foundation, https://www.autismspeaks.org/ to the Victory Junction Camp for kids with severe illnesses or the Vero Beach First Church of the Nazarene, in memory of Lonnie.
Arrangements are by Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory, Vero Beach.

We knew Lonnie thru his business. Over many years, we took several cars to Lonnie for repair. On EVERY OCCASION, he was kind and HONEST. Several times I told him, "I think we should replace this part" It was not unusual for Lonnie to say, "Don't waste your money. We can fix it better, and cheaper this way". We sent much business to Strickland Automotive because of his honest way of doing business. We will certainly miss Lonnie Strickland. "... I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." (the words of Jesus) John 10:10
