Lora Marie Haney

Lora Marie Hensley Haney, age 85, of Burnsville, passed away at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills on Thursday, July 14th, 2022. A native of Yancey County, she was the daughter of the late Berry and Edith Roland Hensley. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Earl Haney, and daughters: Brenda Haney and Kathy Jo Haney.
She is survived by her sons, Sherman (Sandra) Haney of Old Fort, and Ronnie (Cathy) Haney of Marion; sisters: Geneiva Wilson of Asheville, and Alma Forbes of Hendersonville; brothers: Herman Hensley of Erwin, Tennessee, Edmund Hensley of Erwin, Tennessee, and Junior Hensley of Erwin, Tennessee; grandchildren: Tim Haney of Newcombers, Ohio, Matt Haney of Old Fort, Stephen Haney of Marion, Scott Haney of Marion, and Chris Haney of Marion; greatgrandchildren: Hunter, Macy, Briley, Addison, and Raelynn.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 16th in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends and loved ones an hour prior to service time. Reverend Blair Harvey will officiate. Interment will follow the service at Rocky Pass Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery in Nebo, NC.
