Lora Griffin Murphy

Lora Griffin Murphy, a devoted Christian and beloved member of her family, passed peacefully in her home on December 27, 2025, at the age of 81. Lora leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Frank; sons, Dell Murphy and wife, Julie, Chris Murphy and wife, Carmen, and Carl Murphy and wife, Mary; grandchildren, Jonathan Murphy and wife, Kylie, Ashley Murphy King and husband, Jay, James Antwine, Logan Murphy and wife, Gracie, Asher Murphy, Lora Murphy, Sky Murphy, Mary Grace Murphy, and Pearl Murphy; great-grandchild, Clay Daniel King; brother, Lanny Griffin, and sisters, Betty Faye Rees and Beverly Garris.
Lora was a Holy Ghost filled prayer warrior who was always ready at any given moment to pray in the Spirit for the needs of her family and others in need of prayer. Her love for singing about the Lord, her cooking, and artistic ability will always be cherished in our hearts. Her last wish was to win one more person to the Lord. This took place as we gathered around her to pray and say goodbye. That's when James asked Jesus into his heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Stacy and Louise Griffin, siblings "Baby Ray" Griffin and Ramona Kearney.
A visitation will be held at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at Kahlert Funerals & Cremations, located at 308 Main Street, Maysville, North Carolina followed by funeral service at 2:00 pm.
