Lora J. Sell-Wagoner, age 56, of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, passed away peacefully at home with her loving family, friends, and beloved dogs at her side in the early morning of Wednesday, May 14, 2025. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, May 23, 2025, at First Baptist Church in Scottsbluff with Lora’s special friend, Karen Johnson, officiating. A graveside committal will take place at 2 p.m., Friday, June 27, 2025, at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery near Scottsbluff. Memorials may be made in care of the family and will be designated at a later date. The service will be live-streamed and recorded on Lora’s obituary page viewable at www.reverencefuneralparlor.com.

Lora was born March 28, 1969, to Larry and Tana (Vaughn) Sell. She was the second child of the family, following Mark, and proceeding Troy. Together they gave their parents all they could handle.

Lora graduated from Scottsbluff Senior High School in 1987. She attended Western Nebraska Community college and completed several credits worth of classes, before giving birth to her son, Jordan.

Lora worked many late hours along with her mother, Tana, at the Scottsbluff Inn, where she made strong friendships and helped provide for her family. She later received an offer to become a forecast analyst at Orcom Solutions, a career she would continue and climb the ladder in as she sought better paying opportunities, or in many cases, companies would merge. Lora would finally be retained by Mr. Cooper when her previous employer merged. She was able to work from home, and throughout this job opportunity she made many friends of her colleagues who loved and respected her.

She began dating Erick Wagoner in 2010, after having been acquainted with each other for years. It was obvious that this was what she had been patiently waiting for all those years. They traveled together across the country for Erick’s work and got to experience the many things the United States has to offer that they never would have otherwise. They married on July 24, 2021.

Lora was a very kind and loving person with a heart of gold. She would always help a friend in need if she was able. She loved her family, especially her son and her nieces and nephews. She was a mother figure to people who needed advice and would tell the truth, even if it was uncomfortable. She never became a grandma but made up for it by spoiling her many grand nieces and nephews and the children and grandchildren of her close friends.

She enjoyed traveling with her friends, especially to Deadwood, where they could all create mischief and blame it on each other. In her younger years, she liked playing in bowling leagues.

She is survived by her husband, Erick Wagoner; brother, Troy Sell (Kacey); aunts and uncles, Lynnette Delcamp ( Ed), Susie Hennings (Kenny), John Carey (Johnna), Randall Vaughn, and Michael Vaughn (Rita); numerous cousins; nephews, Taylor Tapster (Miranda Molina), Justis Sell (Winter Keller), Jordan Moreno (Carrie Snyder), Michael Sell (Lacey), Kayla Follman (Zane), Marcus Sell (Samantha), Keara Sell, Teagan Sell and Aiden Sell. Lovable great nieces and great nephew, Ariea, Selena, Hendrix, Ruby and Josiah; sisters-in-law, Jill Armstrong (Toby) and Lynne Wagoner; brother-in-Law, Mike Wagoner (Heidi); self-adopted sisters, Dodie Jahnke (Loren), Jill Starke (Scotty), Elli Wolf, and Karen Johnston; and last, but not least, loving dogs, Tiny, Korra, Donut and Bailee.

Lora was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Jake and Ruth Sell; maternal grandmother, Mary Carey; brother, Mark Sell; father, Larry Sell; mother, Tana Oksendahl; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Lora’s beloved only son, Jordan Sell, joined her in Heaven just one week after her passing.
