Loraine Oldehoeft, age 86, died peacefully in her sleep Sunday April 6, 2025, at the Linn Community Nursing Home. She was born August 14, 1938, in rural Palmer, KS, to Herman and Amanda (Herrs) Bott. Loraine was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church, where she remained a member until her death. She attended St. John Lutheran School and graduated from Linn Rural High School in 1956. Loraine married Eldean Oldehoeft on June 3, 1967. To this union two children were born, Brian and Juanita. After her children were in school, she worked in the Housekeeping Department at the Linn Community Nursing Home for many years. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, and her grandchildren.

She is survived by her son Brian and daughter Juanita (Dale) Gerleve; grandchildren, Caleb, Ashley and Lance, three great grandsons, Amell, Thyrie and Landon; her siblings, Delwin (Lois) Bott, Palmer, KS, Verlene (Reynold) Schaaf, Linn, KS, Ronald (Kathleen) Bott, Palmer, KS, Raymond Bott, Washington, KS, LeAnn Bott and friend Donnie Ward, Clay Center, KS, and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Eldean Oldehoeft; infant son, Kevin John; brothers-in-law, LaVern Stigge and Doug Spomer; sister-in-law, Anita (Colgrove) Bott and niece Amanda Spomer.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2025, from 5-7 PM at St. John Parish Hall, rural Palmer.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, April 11, 2025, at St. John Lutheran Church with graveside services immediately following at the St. John Lutheran Cemetery.
