Lore B. Crowe, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on June 30, 2025, in St. Charles, Missouri. Born on January 4, 1945, in Bensheim-Schonberg, Germany, Lore led a life marked by dedication, strength, and an unwavering commitment to her family and community.

For many years, Lore worked as a dental assistant and office manager, where her meticulous nature and strong work ethic shone through. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Lore was known for her vibrant personality. She was strong-willed, direct, and outspoken, always protecting those she loved with fierce loyalty. These traits made her a cherished figure not just at home but also in the various community roles she embraced.

Lore's passion for community engagement was evidenced by her proudest accomplishments, which included serving as the past President of the Board of Aldermen in Manchester and running for Mayor of Manchester. Her efforts in the planning and zoning committee were instrumental in the preservation of the historic district of Manchester, reflecting her deep love for her community.

Her family remembers the joyful moments they shared, including fun day trips to Elephant Rock Park, Mark Twain Lake, and Eckert's Orchard. She taught her family how to water ski, creating lasting memories filled with laughter and adventure. Lore had a love for the arts and enjoyed attending performances at the Muny, where she could appreciate the talent and creativity of those around her.

In addition to her fulfilling career and community involvement, Lore was a talented seamstress, and enjoyed crafting and going dancing. She cherished cooking and found immense happiness when family and friends gathered to enjoy her meals. Her love extended to the dogs she cared for over the years, with her most recent companions, Sunday and Maddie, holding a special place in her heart.

Lore is survived by her sons, Timothy Clinton (Melissa) Crowe and Thomas (Elizabeth) Crowe; and her grandchildren, Ellie J. Crowe, Harry C. Crowe, Silas C. Crowe, Owen C. Crowe, and Shelby A. Crowe. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bob C. Crowe, and her parents, Karl Georg Brauer and Babette Brauer.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 4:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, West County, located at 2211 Clarkson Road, Chesterfield, Missouri 63017.
